The Academy of Dance (TAD) strives to nurture passion in our dancers and to bring out the best in them.
We are committed to providing an exciting and enriching experience for dancers of all ages.
Performance is our Passion
Here at TAD, we believe that performances are essential to a dancer’s journey. We provide numerous opportunities such as Concerts, Workshops, Overseas Dance Exchanges, National & International Events and Competitions for our dancers to build confidence and gain exposure.
Beyond Dance
We offer a holistic curriculum instilling in our dancers values that empowers them not only to become better dancers, but better people through our Annual Mission Trips and Charity Events.

Our Academy provides a conducive environment for dancers of all ages and backgrounds catering to varying needs.
We have a unique Baby Gems programme to start off the 3 year olds, recognised Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) Examination Syllabus, fun and healthy adult & senior citizen classes too!

Our Teachers

Ms June Lee

Ms June Lee started her dance training at the tender age of four. A caring motivator of young teachers, June has helped many prepare for dance teaching examinations and have decided to teach dance as a career. Armed with a Royal Academy of Dance Teaching Diploma herself, June has choreographed for many charity concerts and performances. Her works were also selected and presented at various prestigious events which include the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Opening and Closing Ceremonies 2010, NDP 2011, Chingay Parade 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018 & 2019 and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of 28th SEA Games. Her recent works have won numerous awards in the Asia Pacific Dance Competition organized by Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD). Many of June’s students have won scholarship awards and prizes in dance competitions both locally and overseas. In 2015, she led a troupe to Barcelona and competed in the prestigious Dance Grand Prix clinching 1st in Lyrical, 2nd in Best Choreography and the World’s Best Dance School Award. She was also invited to adjudicate in the New Paper Dance Competition in 2005 and 2006. She has been teaching, motivating and imparting passion to many for the last 35 years.

Ms Tan Jia Jia

Ms Tan Jia Jia has 24 years and 13 years of dancing and teaching experience respectively. She is competent in a wide variety of dance genres and has excelled in the prestigious Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) Asia Pacific Dance competitions. Jia Jia had been invited to perform in numerous overseas and local events. She also brings with her a wealth of overseas experience from her courses and exchange programmes. Prior to her role as a full-time teacher, Jia Jia was with T.H.E Dance Company and was selected to perform in the 2008 International Youth Dance Festival in Macau. Jia Jia is a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and is pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with major in dance education from the University of Surrey.

Ms Jasmine Koh

Ms Jasmine Koh began learning Classical Ballet at the tender age of 4. She has been dancing for 25 years and teaching for 12 years. Other than ballet, she also does Modern Jazz and Tap. Her love for dance has seen her on many dance exchange programmes and also many performances and competitions. She is registered under both Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) examination boards.

Ms Jacqueline Macpherson

Ms Jacqueline Macpherson began her dance training at the young age of four, under the tutelage of Ms June Lee. Jacqueline’s dance experiences span from school performances to external events and competitions. She participated in prestigious events like the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2010 Youth Olympic Games, Chingay Parades (2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020) and the CSTD Asia Pacific Competitions. Her best accomplishments include clinching Best in Lyrical during the 2015 World Dance Grand Prix held in Barcelona, and attaining 1st place for her solo performance under Lyrical (17&Under) category during the 2017 Singapore Regional Competitions. During her Junior College years, Jacqueline was also awarded the Performing Arts Award for her outstanding contributions and service to the school. Jacqueline is currently an undergraduate studying Sociology at Nanyang Technological University. With her new found passions for dance and teaching, Jacqueline seeks to deliver dance education and impart the same passion that she possesses onto her students in future.

Ms Annabelle Ong

Ms Annabelle Ong has had a fulfilling dance journey despite starting at the age of 17. She completed her Intermediate ballet examination with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and participated in large-scale performances – like Chingay, competitions and overseas dance exchange programmes. Her passion for the art form has now extended into the realms of teaching with hopes to inspire other young dancers to love it as much as she does. Ms Annabelle has assisted with teaching in various kindergartens and primary schools since 2014. Even with a full-time job as a designer, Ms Annabelle wholly dedicates her attention and care to her dance students. She has attained her bachelor’s degree in Science (Information Systems), and she further aspires to get her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) in the coming years.
